The Atlanta Falcons return to the Georgia Dome Sunday when they host the Washington Redskins in a matchup between two teams trying to end their losing streaks. After losing two straight, the Falcons look to rebound against a weaker opponent in the Redskins, who sport a 2-5 record.
Behind Michael Turner, the Falcons will look to exploit the Redskins with their running game. Matt Ryan will also look to limit his turnovers, as he has seven interceptions over the last three games. But he faces a tough contest in Washington’s tough pass defense, which is second stingiest in the league.
Washington has dropped three straight, and the season is all but over for them in a tough NFC East division. The last time the two teams played was Dec. 3, 2006, when Atlanta traveled to D.C. and beat the Redskins 24-14. The game is also a homecoming of sorts for cornerback Dante Hall, who had two Pro Bowl season with the Falcons before being cut.
The game is at the Georgia Dome at 1 pm. The post-game show will be hosted at the Taco Mac down the street immediately following the game.
